  • 1974

1974 Change of Name to Montech The company’s name became Montech AG, located in Derendingen. Its Ratiomatic 5 used the first rotary tables made in-house (round, rotating table tops). Each rotary table was able to accommodate up to 16 working stations.
  • 1979

1979 New Production Sector Manual workstations and automation components were combined on rotary tables for use in various industries. This is how a new production sector developed, the manufacturing of systems.
  • 1982

1982 First Conveyor A special, modular conveyor was developed for linking several assembly modules. The conveyor chassis has a T-slot along its entire length for flexible placement of the motor and additional components.
  • 1988

1988 Focus on Components Focus on the production and distribution of automation components and conveyors. From the company’s experiences in manufacturing systems, a new sector developed: the production of safety devices with protective walls and protective covers for production lines.
  • 1990

1990 Launch of the Quick-Set Profile System Quick-Set facilitates the installation of Montech automation components since they all have a dovetail. It allows fast assembly without machining of the profile ends. The Quick-Set range is expanded into a universal system for installations.
  • 1996

1996 Montrac Market Launch Montrac, a new longitudinal transfer system running on a monorail, was presented and introduced. Its electrically operated shuttles travel independently from work station to work station. Equipped with a sensor, they accelerate and stop shock-free.
  • 1998

1998 Launch of the LT Longitudinal Transfer System The asynchronous longitudinal double belt transfer system automatically moves workpieces on workpiece carriers through the individual workstations. Workpieces can be machined from above as well as from below. The LT system is modular and offers a wide variety of layout possibilities.
  • 1999

1999 Launch of Servoline The electrically driven horizontal and vertical axes of the Servoline product line make commissioning easier thanks to “Plug & Drive”. By combining them, large surface-portals can be created.
  • 2000

2000 Launch of the Minidrive Conveyor With an electronically controlled brushless motor with variable speeds, Montech takes a new direction. Thanks to the intelligent control electronics, the belt speed does not depend on the load.
  • 2002

2002 Expansion of the Quick-Set System with Size 20 The small profile system Quick-Set Size 20 is suitable for installation elements such as laboratory equipment, equipment for industrial or office workplaces, assembly of vision systems, etc. This system is used where the installations must frequently be adapted to new requirements.
  • 2002

2002 Launch of the Max Conveyor With its three drive modes – head, center or drum drive – the elegant “workhorse” can ideally match the most diverse requirements of its application. Its robust design using the tried-and-true modular system allows transports of up to 125 kg in conveying applications.
  • 2005

2005 Introduction of the Conveyor Configurator With the conveyor configurator developed in-house, clients can interactively configure and order a conveyor online according to their specific requirements.
  • 2006

2006 Introduction of the website with online shop The new website including online shop went live. In addition to product information, the catalogs and instructions are also available for download at the push of a button. The online shop allows ordering components directly.
  • 2007

2007 IF Design Award The new electrical automation components with their high-precision control system win the “if-product design award.”
  • 2008

2008 Conveyors for the Solar Industry A whole range of custom-developed conveyors for machines producing solar cells is developed. The range includes belts for loading carriers, for discharging broken material, for centering cells, etc.
  • 2010

2010 Conveyor for Cleanrooms The TBR cleanroom conveyor was certified by the Fraunhofer Institute for use in the cleanroom class ISO 5. With five available chassis widths, it can be used in individual production systems or for linking entire production processes, especially in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
  • 2011

2011 Launch of the Vacuum Conveyor With the vacuum conveyor, products can be transported overhead. Flat workpieces can be transported at a speed of up to five meters per second.
  • 2012

2012 Launch of the LT40 Transfer System With the LT40 double-belt transfer system, the individual workpiece carriers can run at a speed of up to 20 m/min. Six different sizes of workpiece carriers will allow payloads of up to 16.8 kg.
  • 2013

2013 Launch of the TB30, TB40 Conveyors and Quick-Set Size 30 The TB30 conveyor comes to market with a compact three-phase motor. The TB40 conveyor’s motor has been integrated into the drive axis. The Quick-Set profile system is supplemented by a new frame size.
